Abraham "B.B" Weaver, Jr.

Abraham "B.B." Weaver, Jr., a lifelong resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama, went to be together again with the Lord and his loving wife, Cuz Thursday, February 18, 2021. He was 64 years old. B.B. was born April 12, 1956, to the late Abraham and Louise Weaver in Mobile, Alabama. He worked as an insulator for many years, however, his greatest accomplishment in life was marrying the love of his life and raising a beautiful family. B.B. enjoyed hunting with family and friends in the community and was always having a good time. Together, he and his wife, Cuz, raised 2 children and helped raise many more children in the community. He was a loving father and faithful husband and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

B.B. was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sally Joann Weaver "Cuz"; parents, Abraham and Louise Weaver; and brother, Zack Weaver.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Joseph Abraham Weaver, Sr. (April), Jessica Weaver Reed (Brad), Shane Schaffer (Karla), Terry Ketchum, Mickey Lofton (Crystal), Nathan Huckabee, Ray Byrd (Grace), Mary Lofton, Ruddie Rivers and Josh Rivers; grandchildren, Leah Lofton, Kalie Weaver, Jessalyn Weaver, Flora Beth Weaver, Joseph Weaver, Jr. "Abe", and Ava Marie Reed; brothers, Daffy Weaver, Sr. and Oscar Hayes Weaver (Catherine); sister, Lenore Rivers; brother-in-law who was as close as a brother, William Hollis Sr., (Kathy); nephew whom he loved as a son, Curvin Rivers, Jr. "Jake, Jr."; a host of nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.

A wake will be held for B.B. from 6 pm until 9 pm Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Freeman Funeral Home. Rosary will begin at 5:45 pm. The Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11 am Monday, February 22, 2021, at Saint Theresa Catholic Church with Rev. John Coghlan, the celebrant. Burial will follow in Byrd Cemetery.

Due to limited seating and COVID-19 guidelines, masks will be required to wear throughout the wake and funeral services and a safe social distance should be maintained.
