Ann Ellen Howard

Ann Ellen Howard, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021. She was 72 years old. Ann was an LPN at Searcy Hospital and at Golden Living in Foley, Alabama, and then later became a traveling nurse before retiring. In her spare time, Ann enjoyed reading and traveling with her sisters.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Realy Parnell; siblings, Willie Mae Howard, Leona Long, Buddy Albert Parnell, Robert Lee Parnell, and Wilbert Parnell; and two grandchildren, Kenny Ainsworth and Cassie Howard. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Christopher Howard (Linda), Grant Howard (Sara), and Wendy Brantley (Craig); grandchildren, Kristen Brantley, Sabrina Hager (Billy), Bailey Brantley, Samantha Howard, Rebecca Howard, Michael Tucker, Taylor Howard, Jessica White, John Paul White, Alex Baez, Joseph Gregory, Rachel Gregory, Gabrielle Howard, Will Howard, Christopher Ainsworth, Lacy Howard, and Katlin Howard; great-grandchildren; siblings, Susie Odom, Cecelia Wilson, Annabelle Richardson, and Tilman “Tib” Parnell; and other nieces and nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11am until the 12pm funeral service Friday, August 20, 2021, at Freeman Funeral Home with Dr. Tilman Parnell officiating. Burial will follow at Chalker Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Kimmons, Logan Parnell, Hank Richardson, Joe Harrell, Jr., Shane Howard and Walter Miller.
