Ardella Frazier Ainsworth, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and compassionate friend, passed away peacefully at her home on April 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 14, 1938, Ardella lived a life that exemplified dedication, strength, and boundless love for those around her.

Throughout her life, Ardella was known as a hard and dedicated worker. She poured her heart into everything she did, with her family being her proudest accomplishment. Her caring and compassionate nature made her a beloved caregiver to all who knew her, and she will be remembered for her loving spirit and strong-willed personality.

Ardella's interests were varied and reflected her deep appreciation for life. She loved gardening and spent many happy hours outdoors, nurturing her lawn and enjoying the beauty of nature. Cooking and baking were passions of hers, and she delighted in creating delicious meals for her family. In her leisure time, she enjoyed brim fishing and working on puzzles, cherishing moments of relaxation and connection with the world around her. Ardella enjoyed her morning walks with her father.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Elonzo Ainsworth, along with her beloved children: Theresa Weaver (Johney), Judy Weaver (Mickey), Angela Newell (Warren), and Pamela Travis (John). Ardella took immense pride in her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy: Johney Weaver, Jr. (Rose), Tommy Weaver (Cheryl), Patrick Weaver (Stefanie), Samantha Byrd (Josh), Jeremy Weaver, Ashley Mote (Eric), John Newell (Jill), Chasity Givens, and Brycen Greene. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Ethan, Andre, Aliza, Hayden, Addison, Riley, Camdyn, Ace, Charlee, Piper, Keegan, and Kinsley.

Ardella's legacy of love continues through her siblings: Joe Frazier (Rhonda), Ruth Johnson, Joan Hopkins, Sue Newburn (Otis), Ricky Frazier (Pam), Daryl Frazier (Rachel), and Terry Frazier, as well as many other relatives and friends who were touched by her compassionate spirit.

She was preceded in death by her father, Odell Frazier; her mothers, Margaret Bentley Frazier and Marie Boyington Frazier; siblings, Mildred Jones, Otis Frazier, and Lucy Stagner; and her dear son-in-law, Charles "Chuck" Givens.

The community is invited to celebrate Ardella's life during a visitation on May 1, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service at Freeman Funeral Home with Bro. Clay Lewis and Bro. Dean Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Frazier Cemetery. Reception to follow at Shalom Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be: Brycen Greene, Patrick Weaver, John Newell, Jeremy Weaver, Andre Weaver, and Tommy Weaver. Honorary pallbearers will be Cory Newburn, Danny Newburn, and Dale Rivers.

Ardella Frazier Ainsworth’s warmth, devotion, and kindness will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
