Barbara Joyce Walker

Barbara Joyce Walker, 71, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at her residence in Gulfcrest, Alabama. Barbara was born Saturday, February 23, 1946 to David and Catherine Brown in Meridian, Mississippi. Barbara worked for seventeen years in the payroll department at the University of South Alabama until her retirement in 2006. After retirement, she spent time traveling with friends and family, and in the past few years enjoyed cards with friends, crochet and spending time with her family. She was a wonderful Bebe and mother who leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 54 years, Woody Walker; daughter, Torii Walker Stratas; son, Jim Walker; brother, Charles E. Brown; grandchildren, Gavin, Victoria, Courtney, Mary-Katherine, Caroline and Mia; great grandchildren, Liam and Adriana; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am until 12pm Monday, January 29, 2017 at Fellowship Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 12pm at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev.
