Barbara "Net" Rivers

Barbara Antanette Rivers, affectionately known as “Net”, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017. She was 53 years old. Net was born July 30, 1964, to Wallace and Lavon Rivers. Net loved her family dearly, especially her children. She had a loving spirit and was always smiling. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Net was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Lavon Rivers; brother, Pelly Davis; and aunts, Ora Allen and Isabell Reed. Those left to cherish her memory include her aunt, Lillian Rivers (Van); siblings, Eric Rivers (Priscilla) and Ralph Maddox (Theresa); children, Josie Reed (Charles), Marcy Back (Eddie), Amber Helveston (Shane), and Pelly Helveston (Stephanie); grandchildren, Gabriella, Dynesty, Landon, EJ, Bo, Jaxon, Serenity, and Asher; beloved friend, Ronald Seabury; and many other relatives and friends. A wake will be held for Net on Friday, November 17, 2017, from 6pm until 9pm at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral will be 11am Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Cedar Creek Baptist Church with Rev.
