Berry “Manuel” Cooley passed away on October 5, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on December 16, 1944.
Throughout his life, Berry made significant contributions not only as a truck driver but also as a member of the National Guard, where he served with honor for six years. His commitment to serving his country was admirable and reflected his strong sense of duty.
Beyond his professional achievements, Berry had a deep love for fishing and enjoyed spending time nurturing his cows and dogs. These hobbies brought him immense happiness.
Berry was preceded in death by his parents, Berry and Ellen Cooley; siblings, Barbara Newman, Dorothy Williams, and Frankie Cooley; granddaughter, Allison Paige Cooley; as well as his daughter-in-law, Amy Cooley. Their memories will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved them.
He leaves behind a loving legacy that will be carried on by his children, William Cooley and Tonya Malone; granddaughter, Abigayle Malone; siblings, Bonnie Baxter and Audrey Coaker; dedicated caregivers, Mary Ellen Williams and her family; and many other relatives and friends. Berry touched the lives of those around him with kindness, generosity, and unwavering support.
Berry will be dearly missed but fondly remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those fortunate enough to have known him.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In honoring Berry's memory, let us reflect upon the joy he brought into our lives. May we find comfort in knowing that Berry's spirit lives on in our hearts as we preserve his treasured memories.
