Bettye Ann Dickinson

Bettye A. Dickinson passed away on September 29, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 85 years old.

Bettye lived a life centered on devotion to family, quiet joys, and faithful work. She spent 25 years at Citronelle High School in the cafeteria, where her steady presence and hard work were part of the daily lives of so many. Outside of work, she enjoyed traveling and found her greatest happiness in the company of those she loved most. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, treasured time spent with family, and took special pleasure in simple, peaceful moments sitting on the back porch, watching the birds and drinking coffee.

Those left to chersih her memory include her daughters, Debra Dickinson and Karen Dickinson; son, Bryan Dickinson (Christine); three granddaughters, nine great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Dickinson, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her father and mother, Clyde and Alma Cotten, and by her brother, David Cotton.

Those who knew Bettye will remember a woman whose life was marked by love, warmth, and the comfort of home and family. Her memory will remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to share in her life and love.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on October 2, 2026, at Lambert Cemetery, Lambert Cemetery Road, Citronelle, Alabama 36522. Burial will also take place at Lambert Cemetery.
