Fruitdale, Alabama

Bryan Wayne Covington, 63, passed away on October 16, 2026, at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.

Born on June 13, 1963, Bryan lived a life centered on hard work, devotion to family, and the simple joys that brought him happiness. He graduated from Mary G. Montgomery and went on to work as an owner-operator truck driver for 15 years, a career he truly loved. Those who knew him understood the pride he took in his work and the satisfaction he found in the road.

Bryan also enjoyed the moments that made life rich and memorable. He loved fishing, riding his motorcycle, and playing fetch with his dog, Mario. One of the steady rhythms of his days was calling his dad every morning while he drank his coffee. Above all, Bryan loved being surrounded by his family every chance he got, and the time he spent with them was among the most important parts of his life.

His grandchildren meant everything to him. They knew him as Pee-Paw, a name that brought him great joy and reflected the special place he held in their hearts. Being their Pee-Paw was the highlight of his life, and the love he shared with them will remain a treasured part of his family’s story.

Bryan is survived by his wife, Lorrie Covington, with whom he shared 29 years of marriage. He is also survived by his children, Elizabeth Carol Roberts, Rebecca Covington, Connor Hopkins (Valentine), and Caleb Hopkins (Elizabeth). He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Diego (Hailey), Winter, Andrea, Coral, Isabella, Paxton, Syelas, Remington, Nathaniel, Orson, Katana, Levi, Maleena, and Salem. He is also survived by his nephew, Tyler Chase, his father and mother, Billy and Carol Covington, and his brother, Bruce Covington.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Delbert and Mae Brown and Jack and Pearl Covington, as well as his son-in-law, Michael Roberts.

Visitation will be held on October 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Four Points Baptist Church with Bro. Doug Price officiating. Burial will follow at Fruitdale Cemetery. There will be a reception following the service.
