Carolyn Cunningham

Carolyn Cunningham, known affectionately by many as CC, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, at Crowne Healthcare of Citronelle in Alabama. She was born on March 16, 1942, in Fyffe, Alabama. Carolyn lived a full and meaningful life and was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing.

Carolyn was a woman with simple pleasures and deep passions. She enjoyed fishing and playing golf, pastimes that brought her joy and relaxation. She also loved spending time with her beloved dog, Jack. A devoted Alabama football fan, she cheered for her team with great enthusiasm.

She is survived by her son, William Paul Gulsby; grandchildren, Jana Gulsby and Bradley Gulsby; great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Odom; brother, John D. Hulgan; niece, Paula Jo Odom King (David); nephew, John D. Odom (Jessica); and numerous other relatives and friends.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her son, Peter Lamar Gulsby, her parents William and Mary Kirk, and nine siblings. Though she has left this world, the love and memories she created will live on with all who knew her.

A graveside service to honor Carolyn’s life will be held on May 22, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Pine Crest Cemetery in Citronelle, Alabama with Bro. Robert Holeman officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate her enduring spirit.

Carolyn Cunningham’s life was a testament to the simple joys of living and the strength of family bonds. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
