Carolyn Anita Miller, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, at Crowne Healthcare of Citronelle, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 23, 1949, Carolyn was known for her big heart and loving nature, which endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Throughout her life, Carolyn embraced a variety of interests that brought joy to both herself and those around her. She found joy in watching movies, indulged in the art of crochet, enjoyed shopping at Cato's, and watching birds. Her love for plants was a testament to her nurturing spirit. Carolyn epitomized generosity and selflessness, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Family was the cornerstone of Carolyn's life. She took immense pride in her children, Teresa Silcox, Pamela King (Donald), Anita Williams (Perry), Della Dupre, and Carvin Dupre (Selena), and her enduring love extended to her grandchildren, Aaron (Louie), Christopher (Susie), Trey (Kaiti), Nick (Ashlyn), Thomas (Amy), Marcus (Emily), Roger (Catherine), Deborah, Seirra, Teirra, Renaldo, Jr., Mackenzie, Annagail, and Matthew. She also had the joy of being a grandmother to 22 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Carolyn was deeply connected to her relatives and friends as well. She leaves behind her beloved mother, Vivian Miller, and her cherished siblings, Patricia Scarbrough (Robert), Lisa Prine (Don), and Carla Churchwell (Gabe). Her connections extended beyond family, as she maintained a close-knit circle of friends and numerous other relatives who will forever hold her memory dear.
In her spiritual life, Carolyn found immense fulfillment in her church community. Her pastor, Robert Holeman (Tina) at POC, had a profound impact on her, and her sensitivity to the movement of God was evident in her sincere prayers for her family's well-being. Carolyn's proudest accomplishments were her close bonds with her family and church family, which brought her the greatest happiness and fulfillment.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her father, Carvin Miller, and two of her grandchildren, Timothy Kauffman and Zachary Silcox, her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her. As we gather to honor Carolyn's life, we remember a woman whose spirit touched the lives of many, leaving behind a love that will resonate through generations.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service at Pentecostals of Citronelle Church with Pastor Robert Holeman officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Pentecostal Cemetery.
