Catherine Weaver, born on November 3, 1957, was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her kind-hearted nature and unwavering dependability. She passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, at USA Hospital, leaving behind a rich legacy of love and laughter.
Catherine was known for her warm spirit that made everyone feel welcome. Her joy for life shone through her ability to bring laughter to those around her. Known as the best cook among her family and friends, she took particular delight in creating meals that brought everyone together. Catherine cherished the moments spent on vacations with her family, creating memories that they would hold close to their hearts.
She is survived by her loving children, Raymond Weaver (Tiny), Kevin Weaver (Margaret), Gladys Weaver, Florence Weaver (Ray), and Mary Ann Reed. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Mikey, Tabitha, Heather, Kevilyn, Janice, Christopher, Donald Jr., Kevin "BoBo," April, Larry, Tootie, Nick, Carson, and Zack. Additionally, she was a proud great-grandmother to Camden, Mikey, Natalie, Austin, Lucas, Bean, Molly, Raelynn, Harlan, Brinkley, and Kyler.
Catherine's siblings, Birtlee Taylor (Gene), Barbara Byrd (Spencer), Sally Smith (Walter), Fred Weaver, Florence Cambell (Clint), Chris Weaver (Lettie), and Lenore Rivers, along with a multitude of nieces and nephews, will also miss her deeply. Her best friend, Marsha, and her role as Cat Mama to April and Ezra, highlighted the relationships she held dear. Catherine's special nieces, Chelsea Johnston and Ruddie Rivers, remained close to her heart.
Catherine is preceded in death by her late husband, Oscar Weaver; father of her children, Jerry Weaver; her grandchildren Raymond Weaver, Jr. and Kamden Galloway; great-grandson Jackson Weaver; mother and father, Josephine and Melton Weaver; and siblings Sterling Weaver, Willie Weaver, George Weaver, Rose Mary Weaver, and Darrell Weaver.
Catherine's proudest accomplishments were her family, particularly her children and grandchildren, who were her greatest joy and pride.
A wake will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2025 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with the Rosary beginning at 5:30 PM. The Mass of the Resurrection will take place on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Saint Theresa Catholic Church at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Byrd Cemetery.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of many.
