Charlene Staehle Donald, a beloved mother, grandmother, and wife, passed away on November 20, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family during her final moments. Charlene's life was defined by her dedication and love for her family. Throughout her life, she spread warmth and kindness to everyone she encountered. Being a conduit for her family was the most important thing to her. Later in life, she worked as a caretaker at the local nursing home.

Charlene had many passions and interests that brought her joy. She adored vacationing in the mountains, with Cades Cove being one of her favorite destinations. Being outdoors allowed Charlene to appreciate the beauty of nature and find solace in its serenity. She also treasured hunting, cooking, and spending quality time with her loved ones during the holidays; creating memorable moments filled with laughter and good food.

Charlene's proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her children and grandchildren. They were the center of her world and being with them brought her immense joy.

Charlene will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, James Donald; children, Elizabeth Puckett (Jimmy), Jacob Donald, Johnny Donald, Toni Donald; grandchildren, Zacky, Tris, Izzy, Bridgette, Emily, Jake, and Brodie; siblings Juanita Isler, Cathy Donovan, and Paul Staehle; along with numerous other relatives and friends who were blessed to have known such an incredible soul.
