Charles E. Byrd

Charles Edward Byrd, age 59, a native of Mobile and resident of Semmes, AL., died Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. He was a truck driver and retired from Kimberly-Clark. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Jimmy Sweeney) Byrd of Semmes, AL.; grandson, James Sweeney; three brothers, Glen T. Byrd of Citronelle, AL., Roland J. Byrd of Mount Vernon, AL. and Ronald L. (Jeannie) Byrd of Semmes, AL.; two sisters, Nellie B. (Harry) Foster of Semmes, AL. and Vera (Stan) Rivers of Mount Vernon, AL.; and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the 11 AM Funeral Service on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Freeman Funeral Home. Interment will be at Byrd Cemetery in Mount Vernon, AL.
