Charles Marvin Reid, fondly known as "Buster," passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 21, 1958, Charles lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and a remarkable spirit that touched all who knew him.

Buster was a devoted truck driver and heavy equipment operator, professions he embraced with unwavering commitment and a genuine love for work. Those who had the privilege of working alongside him knew him as a man who took pride in his craft and approached every task with a strong work ethic.

Beyond his career, Charles was a man of many passions. He delighted in gardening, found joy in watching Alabama football, cherished fishing excursions, and enjoyed working on various projects. His capacity for humor, sweetness, and big-hearted love made him a cherished presence in his community and within his family.

One of Charles’s proudest accomplishments was his deep and abiding love for his family. He took great pleasure in spending quality time with them and playing with children, always ready with a helping hand and an open door to anyone in need. His generosity, kindness, and unwavering support left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Lisa Reid; their children, Charles Reid (Alison), Tonya Reid, Ashley Reid, Alisha Pryor (Gary), Kane Reid, Kodi Henderson, and Jennifer Henderson; and his treasured grandchildren, Brooklyn, Quintin, Colan, Torie, Kaden, Kaitlyn, Ariana, and Amya; and his first great-grandchild, Quintin, Jr. He leaves behind his siblings, Lillie Nelson, Cissy Stanley, Eileen Stagner, and Lynn Cole (Bryan); his nephew, Shane Henderson; and a host of other relatives and friends who held him in high regard.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dora Reid; his brother, Buddy Reid; and his sister, Joyce McIlwain.

A visitation will be held on May 27, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service at Full Gospel Tabernacle with Bro. Mike Reid and Bro. Chester Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Charity Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Stagner, Jaden Stagner, Andrew Dixon, Jamie Cole, Jeno Shurtz, and Bryan Cochran. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gene Henderson and Wesley Henderson.

As we remember Charles Marvin Reid, we honor a life filled with love, laughter, and an enduring legacy of kindness and generosity. His memory will continue to inspire and comfort all who knew him.
