Charlotte Ann Smith, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on February 5, 2024, at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. She was born on October 8, 1958.

Charlotte was a vibrant and joyful woman who loved life and was always full of laughter. She had a zest for living that was contagious, and her infectious smile could light up any room she walked into. Charlotte's warm and compassionate nature endeared her to all who knew her.

One Charlotte's greatest joys in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She cherished every moment she got to spend with them, showering them with love and making lasting memories. Charlotte's dedication to her family knew no bounds, and she always put their needs above her own.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Virginia Reed, as well as her siblings John Foster Reed, George Reed, and Lawrence Reed. Although they are no longer with us, their memories will be forever cherished.

She is survived by her children George Chilton and Brittany Paige Chilton, who were the center of her world. Charlotte adored being a mother and took pride in raising her children to be kind-hearted individuals. Her love for them knew no bounds.

In addition to her children, Charlotte leaves behind a legacy through her grandchildren Madison, Emma, Makayla, Jeffery, and Samuel. They were the apple of her eye and brought immeasurable joy into her life. The bond between Charlotte and her grandchildren was unbreakable and filled with unconditional love.

Charlotte is also survived by her siblings, Gordon Reed (Cathy), Randy Reed, Freddie Reed (Claretta); sister-in-law Wanda Reed; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends. The memories they shared together will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
