Chauncey "Bb" Walter Thompson, Jr.

Chauncey "BB" Walter Thompson Jr. age 72, joined his Lord and Savior on February 3, 2018 following a sudden stroke. A longtime resident of Citronelle, Alabama, he recently re-located to Satsuma, Alabama with his loving wife of 28 years, Lottie "Tillie" Thompson. Chauncey worked for Ciba Specialty Chemicals for over 40 years as a chemical operator. After his retirement, he worked at Wal-Mart Supercenter in Saraland, Alabama. He worked in the hardware and sporting goods departments for many years. Chauncey believed in the value of a hard day's work and passed that value on to his children. Chauncey was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and recently re-dedicated his life to Jesus Christ. Survivors include his wife Tillie, sisters Jessie and Sharon; and children: Melissa, Chauncey III, Chris, Allie, and Eddie. He is also survived by his granddaughter Amanda, nephew Timbo, and step-son Ted. A wake will be held Friday February 9, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home (19180 N Center St, Citronelle, AL 36522) from 5:00 PM to 8 PM. A memorial service will be held Saturday February 10, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church (21276 Hwy 45, Citronelle, Alabama 36522) from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM, burial service to follow at Pine Crest Cemetery.
