Christel Hayes

Christel Hovatter Hayes, 59, a native of Germany and resident of Fruitdale, Alabama passed away Monday, September 14, 2020 at Washington County Hospital. She was a homemaker and President of the Ladies Auxillary of the American Legion Post # 164. Christel always enjoyed spending time with her family and loved the outdoors at the river. But most of all, Christel loved spending time with her granddaughter more than anything. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Angie Hovatter. Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 33 years, Roger Hayes; two sons, Jason Hayes (Jennifer) and Josh Hayes; granddaughter, Cayleigh; brother-in-law, Jerry Hayes (Sandra); beloved furbaby, Princess; other relatives and friends.
