Clifford Rivers

Clifford Rivers, a native and resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021, at Providence Hospital. He was 76 years old. Clifford was born March 10, 1945. Clifford was a hard worker and loved to hunt. Most of all, he loved his family.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, David Crockett and Rosa Lee Rivers; and siblings, Sophie Reed, Edward Rivers, Sancer Rivers, Jack Rivers, Jim Rivers, and McKinley Rivers. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Judy; children, Thelma Barnes (Bruce), Chris Rivers (Kathy), Clifford ''Boo Boo'' Rivers (Tanya), Erica Holmes (Horace), Thomas Rivers (Jasmine), Annie Reed, Farrah Reed, David Wallace Rivers (Jamie), Jessi Rivers (D.B.), and Sophie Rivers; twenty-eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Esther Byrd, Craney Lofton, Ola Sullivan, Maggie James, and Joe Rivers; and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 9:30am until the 11am Mass of the Resurrection Saturday, November 27, 2021, at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Rev. John Coghlan, celebrant.
