Cynthia "Cindy" Weaver, a beloved figure in her community, passed away on November 1, 2025, at Springhill Medical Center. Born on August 29, 1958, Cindy was known for her infectious spirit and an all-around good personality that endeared her to many. She lived her life with a warm heart, always making time for family and friends, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.
Cindy was the loving wife of Steve Weaver, Sr., and cherished mother to her children, Steve Weaver, Jr. (Natalie) and Shanna Rivers (Rodney). She was a proud grandmother who adored her grandchildren—C.J. Davis, Khrislyn Davis, Addalyn Davis, Rayce Rivers, Brylee Weaver, Zachary Weaver, David Nicholson, Noah Norman, and Isiah Norman—never missing an event for them. These moments filled her life with unparalleled joy and fulfillment.
In addition to her immediate family, Cindy is survived by her brother, Maynard Dubuisson, Jr. "Buddy" (Julie); her aunt, Charolette Skinner (Wayne); and her devoted cousin, Buster. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives, and many friends who will miss her dearly.
Cindy held a deep love for beach outings, making summer vacations to Johnny's RV park a cherished tradition for her family. She found great joy in cooking, particularly during the Thanksgiving holiday, where her culinary skills were a highlight of the festivities. Her evenings often included watching Lifetime movies, a pastime that brought her comfort and enjoyment.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Maynard and Rosie Dubuisson, as well as her grandparents, Son and Icie Davis. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
A wake will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A visitation will be held November 5, 2025, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church from 10:00 AM until the funeral service 11:00 AM with Bro. Paul McVay officiating. Burial will follow in Byrd Cemetery.
Cindy Weaver's light will continue to shine through the precious memories shared by her family and friends, who will remember her warmth, kindness, and love for life. Her legacy of devotion to her loved ones will carry on, ensuring her spirit remains ever-present in the hearts of those lucky enough to have known her.
