Damaris Garcia de Snow, fondly known as Maye and Memo, was born on September 14, 1951. She departed this life on July 17, 2025, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. Maye will be remembered as a firecracker of a woman, whose selfless, loving, and motherly spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.
Maye dedicated her life to being a devoted homemaker, cherishing her role within her family while also showcasing her talents as a seamstress. Her love for her family was her proudest accomplishment, particularly her unwavering protection and support of her children.
Beyond her family commitments, Maye found joy in various hobbies and interests, including shopping, gardening, jewelry making, and photography. Each of these passions reflected her vibrant personality and her keen eye for beauty in the world around her.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Ruth Snow, and her son, Oliver Tanner Snow. Maye also leaves behind her cherished siblings: Maria Davis, Francisco Garcia, Oliver Garcia, Obed Garcia, Jael Jimenez, Hever Garcia, Patricia Tamayo, Bonnie Balderrama, and Noel Garcia. In addition to her immediate family, she is remembered by her step-children, step-grandchildren, and many children whom she babysat and loved as if they were her own. Her extended family and countless friends will also hold her close in their hearts.
Maye is preceded in death by her husband, Hursas Snow, Sr.; her parents, Oliver and Patricia Garcia; as well as her brothers, Joel Garcia and Ohel Garcia; and her beloved nephew, Josue Gutierrez.
As we reflect on Maye’s life, we celebrate a remarkable woman whose legacy of love, strength, and dedication will forever endure in the memories and hearts of all her family and friends.
