David Allen McKinley Sullivan, affectionately known as "Man Man," passed away on May 10, 2026, in Mobile, Alabama. Born on October 1, 2005, in Mobile, David’s vibrant and compassionate spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. His warm heart, love for the Lord, and boundless enthusiasm for the outdoors made him a beloved figure in his community.
David was a proud graduate of Citronelle High School, class of 2024, where he demonstrated his athletic talents by playing varsity baseball and football. Beyond athletics, he found joy in hunting, fishing, and riding horses—activities that reflected his deep connection to nature and the world around him.
Known for his big heart and genuine kindness, David embraced life with enthusiasm and grace. He was loved by everybody and remembered for his ability to uplift others with his joyful presence and unwavering faith.
David is survived by his devoted parents, David and Allison Sullivan; sisters Anna Kate Sullivan, Destiny Byrd, and Chancey Rivers; brothers Blake Evans and Jace Reed; and grandparents Erbert and Eva Reed as well as David and Regina Sullivan. He also leaves behind cherished aunts Stacey, Shawnna, Tish "Nute Nute" (Jamie), Mary (Joe), and Missy "Mimi" (Ralph); uncles Chance and Craig; along with other relatives and a wide circle of friends who held him dear.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Mama Kate and Sonny Boy, great-grandmother Maw Maw Katie, and great-grandparents Ernest and Elsie Back.
Family, friends, and community members are invited to honor and celebrate David’s life during visitation on May 13, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Freeman Funeral Home, located at 19180 N Center St, Citronelle, Alabama. The funeral service will be held the following day, May 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Simple House of Praise Church, 1295 Red Fox Rd W, Mount Vernon, Alabama.
David’s legacy of kindness, faith, and love of the outdoors will forever remain in the hearts of those who were privileged to know him. His memory will continue to inspire all who loved him deeply.
