Dennis Ray Rivers, affectionately known as Ray, was born on February 16, 1951, in Fairford, Alabama. He passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, at Springhill Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Ray was a cherished member of his community and will be remembered for his joyful spirit, his sense of humor, and his profound love for the people in his life.

With an impressive career spanning over 40 years, Ray dedicated himself to the Tree Service business, where he was respected for his skills and commitment. He took great pride in his work, which allowed him to connect with nature, a passion that also extended to his hobbies. Ray enjoyed hunting and fishing, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. A particular love for watching westerns, especially "Gunsmoke," showcased his appreciation for the stories of old cowboys, Indians, and the expansive beauty of open plains.

Ray was more than just a hardworking man; he was the embodiment of happiness, humor, and love. His outgoing and sometimes sarcastic personality endeared him to many, and he created a steady presence in the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. Ray will be fondly remembered for the strong roots he planted in his family and the community that surrounded him.

His proudest accomplishments included his beloved children and grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Brad Rivers, Brandy Rivers, Christina Rivers, and Emily Rivers; and his grandchildren, Krislyn, Alex, Brileigh, Zayleigh, Darren, and Londynn. His mother, Nell Williams, and siblings, Sheila Barganier, Von Rivers, and Tommy Williams, join a multitude of other relatives and friends in mourning his loss.

Ray's legacy will be honored at a visitation on May 30, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM funeral service  at Mount Moriah Baptist Church with Bro. Dwight Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery.

His memory will live on through the lives he touched, the love he shared, and the laughter he inspired.
