Dylan Chase Owen, born October 25, 1999, passed away on May 14, 2026. A devoted police officer for the Citronelle Police Department, Chase was recognized early in his career as Rookie of the Year in 2025, a testament to his outstanding commitment and skill. He graduated at the top of his class from the Mobile Police Academy and was honored with the Chief’s Award, reflecting his dedication and exemplary service.

Chase possessed an extraordinary talent; he could do anything he set his mind to, excelling in all endeavors with remarkable determination and grace. His talents and tenacity were evident not only in his professional life but also in his personal pursuits. Chase was an avid motorsport enthusiast who cherished his motorcycle. He was a passionate Auburn Football fan, found joy in gaming and live streaming, and appreciated the outdoors through hunting and fishing. Committed to maintaining his fitness, he regularly spent time at the gym. Above all, Chase valued time spent with family and friends, where his warm spirit and loving nature shone most brightly.

Among his proudest accomplishments was being the best brother in the world, a role he embraced with love and unwavering support.

Chase is survived by his loving mother, Kristy Abrams (Matt); his father, Kenny Owen, Jr. (Stacy Miller); his sisters, Jordan Elaine Tew and Karlee Faye Abrams; his brothers, Kaleb Matthew Abrams and James David Abrams, and his cherished nephew, Christian James Green. His grandparents, Evelyn Butler (Mike), Elizabeth “Honey” Whitehurst, and Russell and Teresa Abrams stood as pillars of love throughout his life. Chase also leaves behind uncles Stephen Day (Mary), Sam Day (Deidra), and Robbie Whitehurst (Tracy), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and countless friends. A special friend, Katie Horton, held a significant place in his heart.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Kenneth Richard Owen, Sr. and William Charles Whitehurst.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service from 1:00 p.m. Both will take place at Restoration Church, located at 8520 W State St, Citronelle, AL 36522 with Bro. Martin Poe officiating. Buiral will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  

Dylan Chase Owen’s life was a beacon of dedication, passion, and love. He leaves behind a legacy of service and a memory cherished deeply by all who knew him. His extraordinary spirit and commitment will forever be remembered and honored.
