Edna A. Orso, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on January 1, 1966, Edna was known for her very outgoing personality that touched the lives of many around her. Edna found immense joy in gardening, particularly with flowers, which brightened not only her home but also her heart. Her talent for cooking meals for her family and decorating her home for holidays brought everyone together and created bonds that strengthened the love within her family.
Her family was her pride and joy, and she dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Rondell Weaver; her children, Tony Orso (Tina), Genesis Byrd, Cristy Ann Weaver, Farr ah Weaver and Derrick Reed; and her beloved grandchildren, T.J. Orso (Victoria), McKenzie Weaver, Madison Weaver (Dorian), Bailyn Rutledge, Shaun Parnell, Alyiah Byrd, Chianna Rivers, Jace Reed, and Joni Reed. Edna was also the proud great-grandmother of six great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. Edna is also survived by her brothers, Frankie Orso, Woody Orso, Lester Orso, and David Orso; her sister, Sherry Orso; her special nephew, Kristian Blake Weaver; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Underwood and Eunice Orso.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM funeral service at McKinley Pentecostal Church with Bro. Jackie Snow and Bro. Chase Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Reed's Chapel Cemetery. As we celebrate Edna's life, her vibrant spirit will be sorely missed, but her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her dearly.
