Obituary for Eric Morgan Heathcoe Sr.

Eric Morgan Heathcoe Sr., 82, passed from this life on June 10, 2026. Eric was a devoted husband, loving father, proud military serviceman, and cherished friend who left a lasting impression on the hearts of many. Eric served his country with unwavering courage and dedication in the National Guard. His years of service reflected his deep commitment to duty and honor. Beyond his military service, Eric was the heart of his family. He was a steady presence, a guiding hand, and a source of laughter. As a husband, he loved deeply. As a father, he led by example—teaching values of respect and resilience that will live on in his children forever. He found joy in the simple moments—family gatherings, sharing stories, and creating memories that will be treasured for generations. His legacy is one of service, sacrifice, and unconditional love. Surrounded by his family, he left this world peacefully. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Judy Heathcoe; his children, Robin Parden (Mike) and Eric Heathcoe Jr. (Dawn); six grandchildren, Kandace Stuckey (David), Jason Heathcoe (Haley), Michael Stewart (Hayley), Ryan Stewart (Katie), Coby Bohanon, and Anna Heathcoe; fifteen great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his brother, Danny (Gail) Heathcoe. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Patrick, and his daughter, Renee Bohanon. 

A service to celebrate his life and honor will be held at Charity Chapel Cemetery on Friday, June 12, at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Retreat Hospice by Saad in his memory. 

Pallbearers will be Jason Heathcoe, Michael Stewart, Ryan Stewart, Coby Bohanon, Layne Stuckey, and Braiden Stewart.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Easton Heathcoe, Emmett Heathcoe, Kaleb Stuckey, Dylan Stewart, Brantley Stewart, Colt Stuckey, Chason Smith, and Stoney Edwards.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered support and prayers during this difficult time. Eric will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his love, strength, and the legacy he leaves behind.
