Florence Eloise Turner

Florence Eloise Powell Turner, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away Sunday, November 08, 2020. She was 91 years old. Eloise was born June 13, 1929. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She owned and operated Turner-Powell Cleaners for over 40 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Eloise was preceded in death by her parents, Dorsey and Florence Maude Powell; her husband, Gordon Turner; son, Jerry Turner; grandson, Dylan Turner; son in law, Darwin Willman; siblings, Dorsey Powell, Jr., Wilbur Powell, and Addie Gray Witherington. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Danny Turner (Donna), Randy Turner (Cathy), Debbie Canaan (Henry), Robby Turner, and Sherry Willman; grandchildren, Chris, Jaclyn, Lee, Natalie, Danielle, Heather, Erin, David, Jamie, and Hailey; seventeen great grandchildren; brother, Tommy Powell (Tommie Lee); and other relatives and friends. The family would like to offer a special thanks to their mother's caregivers, Jackie Patton, Tammy Howell, and Susan Williams, for the loving care they have shown to Eloise. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Thursday, November 12, 2020, at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Robinson, Rev. Stan Clayton, and Rev. Johnny Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund.
