Genevieve Rowell

Genevieve Brannan Rowell, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away Friday, November 15, 2019. She was 83 years old. Genevieve was born August 11, 1936. She was a devoted lifelong member of Citronelle First Baptist and Restoration Church and a past member of the Women’s Club. Genevieve enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Bessie Brannan; siblings, Lester Brannan, Clark Brannan, and Harris Brannan; and daughter in law, Sheila Smith. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Joseph E. Smith, Jeffrey R. Smith (Sandra), Jackie S. Lowe (Dickie), and Jamie S. Clanton (Doug); grandchildren; great grandchildren; sister, Betty Miller; and other relatives and friends. The family would like to offer a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Crowne Healthcare of Citronelle, as well as the nurses and staff of Comfort Care Hospice for their kindness and compassion shown through their caregiving of Genevieve. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 12pm funeral service Monday, November 18, 2019, at Restoration Church with Rev. John Blackwell and Rev. Stan Clayton officiating. Burial will follow in Brannan Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Tyler Clanton, Chris Lang, Dwayne Turner, Jarrett Turner, Shaun Bedgood, and Kenneth Bedgood. Honorary Pallbearers are Daryl Hicks, Trenton Turner, Dalton Hicks, David Sullivan, and Chase Smith.
