George Reed

George Chandler Reed, was loved by many. He was a father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. He passed away May 5, 2025, at the age of 77 years old. Born August 12, 1947. George was known for his hard work in the woods, his love for his family and friends, his personality, and his love for a cup of coffee.

He treasured his family deeply. He is survived my numerous family members who will continue to honor his memory: daughter, Norma Back; son Autry (Bo) Reed (Amanda); son Stevie Reed; daughter Crystal Reed (Joe); step children William Weaver, Donna Weaver; grandchildren Raven Walker (Teddy), Shannon Snow, Josey Weaver, Heather Weaver (Jason), Frank Weaver (Paige),Layla Reed, Kellsie Sparks, Crimson Reed, Ayden Reed, Izabella Reed, Brannan Reed. He also had 16 great grandchildren. He also survived by his special friend Tara.

George joins his deceased relatives, including his father Hubert Reed; mother Hazel Reed; child Calvin Reed; brother Raino Reed; grandchild Casey Weaver in internal rest.

A wake will be held for George from 6pm until 8pm on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Magnolia Holiness Church with Rev. Ike Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.

His absence leaves a hole in all of in our heart.
