Gholey M Buttram

Gholey M Buttram, a beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on August 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 20, 1968, Gholey lived a life marked by her vibrant personality and warm spirit. Throughout her life, Gholey cherished the time spent with her family. Her pride and joy were evident in her unwavering love for her son, Troy Buttram, her granddaughters, Kirsten Buttram and Tristalyn Buttram, and her great granddaughter, Haven Loraine.

Gholey's family also included her brother, Dillard Reed, and her nieces, Destiny Reed, Dora Reed (Cameron Weaver), and Darla Johnston; great nieces and nephew: Diego, Emmy, Dracestyn, Camila, and Dakota; a multitude of aunts, uncles, and cousins, who all held a special place in her heart.

Her warmth and kindness extended beyond her family to her best friends and caregivers, Glenda Adams, Fran Schaffer, and Bridgette Reed, who provided her with unwavering support and companionship throughout her life.

In addition to her devotion to family, Gholey also enjoyed watching television, especially wrestling, and playing games on her phone. These hobbies brought her much joy and relaxation during her quieter moments, and she often shared her passion for them with those close to her.

Gholey was preceded in death by her parents, Dillard and Lena Covington, and her grandparents, Mary Louise Rivers and Dillard Covington, as well as Clayton and Ida Mae Reed. Their memories remained with her as a cherished part of her journey.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service at Magnolia Holiness Church with Bro. Ike Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.

Gholey M Buttram will be remembered fondly for her outgoing spirit, her deep love for family, and her many friendships. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
