Harley Leroy Chestang

Harley Leroy Chestang, a resident of Mount Vernon and a native of Fairford, Alabama, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018. He was 65 years old. Harley was born December 18, 1952, to Leroy and Mame Chestang. He was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church and drove a truck for many years. Harley is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Mame Chestang; Ed Kelly Chestang; and Dusty Reed, Jr. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Alexis Hope Lofton and Hollie Weaver (Charlie); grandchildren, Jamee, Kristain, Hunnae, Lee, Bell, and Drayton; mother of his children, Melanie Chestang; sister, Sue Johnston (Travis); brother, Jimmy Chestang (Lucy); and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 2pm until the 4pm funeral service Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Mount Moriah Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Chestang, Bro. Robert Byrd, and Bro.
