Haywood Hosie Dueitt

Haywood Hosie Dueitt, a resident of Wilmer, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, November 09, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 85 years old. Haywood was born September 16, 1931, to Jessie and Blondie Mae Dueitt. After high school, Haywood served in the United States Air Force for 20 years and retired from the United States Postal Service. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Haywood is preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Lister Dueitt; parents, Jessie and Blondie Mae Dueitt; brothers, Owen, William, James, and Russell Dueitt. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Bobby Dueitt (Cindy); two grandchildren, Bobby Dueitt, Jr. (Laura) and Britney Pearce (Brad); five great grandchildren with one on the way; brother, Royce Dueitt; sisters, Sharon Lee and Carole Merritt; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 1pm until the 2pm funeral service Saturday, November 12, 2016, at Freeman Funeral Home with Bobby Dueitt, Jr. officiating.
