Helen Emma Reid

Helen Emma Reid, 84, a longtime resident of Charity Chapel, Alabama passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020 at her home from congestive heart failure. She loved raising children and cooking. She loved spending time with family and helped raise many in the Charity Chapel community. Helen was the matriarch of the family and tried to keep everyone on the right path. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Reid; children, Bobby Ray Reid, Lizzie Reid, Jessie James Reid, Robert Dean Reid, and Freddy “Jack” Reid . She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Jerry Lee Reid; mother figure to Mallory and Hailee; 20 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; siblings, Joann, Sally, Joe Randy and R. B.; sister-in-law, Nolia; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 6pm until the 8pm funeral service Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev.
