Herman Gene “Trey” Wainwright, III, age 45, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 9, 2018 at his residence in Mount Vernon, Alabama. Trey fought a courageous battle against cancer for over four years and remained strong in his faith. Trey was a devoted member of Bethel Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors and was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He loved his family, friends and community. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 20 years, Pamela Wainwright; children, Kelsey Wainwright, Annie Koen (Nathaniel) and Logan Wainwright; parents, Herman and Donna Wainwright; sisters, Celena Wainwright (Steven Taylor) and Melanie Hanshew (Ronnie); grandmother, Gladys Wainwright; sister-in-law, Melissa Johnson (Pete); father-in-law, Purvis Byrd; nieces, Cheyenne, Sarah, Tana, Calynn, Carley, and Courtney; nephews, Tristen and Cody; great nephews, Jase and Jaxen; other relatives and friends. The wake will be from 6-9pm Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church. The funeral service will be 10am Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Robinson, Rev.
