Isabelle Nelson

Isabelle Nelson, a lifetime resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. She was 85 years old. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her sons, John Mason Reed and Roy Reed, Sr.; parents, Clifford and Eva Byrd; siblings, Murray Byrd, Mason Byrd, Harold Byrd, Nettie Wally, and Betty Rivers. Those left to cherish her memory include her grandchildren, William Reed (Anita Dixon), Roy Reed, Jr. and Jade Wilkerson; great-grandchildren, Aslynn, Alex, Darla, Quinn, Jackson, and Mason; siblings, Margie Sullivan, Mary B. Byrd, Audrey Byrd, Leroy Byrd, and Windell Byrd; devoted nieces, Margie Renee Wilkerson and Patricia Wells; and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Friday, March 1, 2019, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Rev. George Weaver officiating.
