James Samuel Newbill, Sr.

James Samuel Newbill, Sr., 66, a resident of Calvert, Alabama passed away March 10, 2017. He was an electrician and was known as “Kilowatt” because he was very talented at his trade. He enjoyed watching television, fishing and spending time with his family. He was “set in his ways” but will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Newbill, Sr.; brothers, Leroy Newbill, Jr., Eugene Newbill and Wayne Newbill. Those left to cherish his memory includes his son, James Newbill, Jr.; daughter, Sylvia Mashburn (Stephen); five grandchildren, Gabriel, Stephen, Caitlin, Cassidy and Madison; the love of his life, Mildred; mother, Sylvia Scoggins; siblings, Ann Jimerson, Sara Woods, Irma Barton (Donald), Deborah McDonald (Ronald), Joseph Newbill, Petty Newbill (Sandi), Carlton Newbill (Kaye); other relatives and friends.
