Jerrell Parks “Jerry” Ledbetter, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021. He was 87 years old. Jerry was born March 06, 1934, in Junction City, Arkansas, and came to Citronelle in 1955 when the first discovery oil well was drilled. He loved to fish, hunt, grow a garden, and spend time with his family. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Nora Ledbetter; daughter, Rhonda Ledbetter; parents, David Parks and Iris Ledbetter; and siblings, David Ledbetter, Edna Ledbetter, Malvin Ledbetter, Stacey Ledbetter, Chris McDougal, and Maurine Ledbetter Murray. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jannette Ledbetter; children, Danny Ledbetter (Kathy) and Randy Ledbetter (Diana); grandchildren, Jaron (Stephanie), Amber (Calvin), Klaudea, Caylee, Myles, Mikala, Mason, and Colton; siblings, Gilbert Ledbetter and Betty McGowin; and many many friends. A wake will be held for Jerry from 6pm until 9pm Friday, August 20, 2021, at Fellowship Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at 11am Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Robinson and Rev. Billy Robinson officiating.
