Joseph Clyde Beach, Jr., fondly known as Jody, was born on June 21, 1971, in Mobile, Alabama. He departed this life on October 2, 2025. Jody was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, sibling, and friend, known for his outgoing personality and the kindness he extended to everyone he met. A great mechanic by trade, he had an extraordinary ability to fix and repair anything, a talent that earned him admiration and respect in his community.
Jody’s passions encompassed a wide range of interests, including dirt track racing, hunting, and fishing. He was an avid supporter of Auburn Football, always cheering passionately for his team. His love for life was evident in the time he dedicated to his family, cherishing every moment spent with them.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Tonia Odom Beach; his fathers, Joe Beach (Sherrie) and Steve Jencks; his father-in-law, Aaron Odom. Jody leaves behind his cherished children, Kayla Adams (Michael), Devin Crager (Shelby), Blake Crager (Autumn), Blaze Crager, and Karley Beach Bufkin (Lucas). His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Draygen, Kyla, Claira, Asher, Matthew, Charleigh, Brayley, Connor, and Avery, along with two expecting grandchildren, Silas and Baby Crager. Additionally, he is survived by his siblings, Jamie Gardner and Justin Gardner; his brother-in-law, Michael Odom (Kathy); and many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Jody was preceded in death by his mother, Diane Jencks; his brother, Josh Beach; his son, Chayse Beach; and his grandparents, Fred and Irella Beach and Tarzan and Etha Mae Scarbrough. His proudest accomplishments included his deep love for his wife, children, and grandchildren, which truly meant the world to him.
A visitation will be held in his honor on October 6, 2025, at Deer Park Fellowship Church from 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM funeral service with Bro. Denny McDavid and Bro. Jason Kittrell officiating. Burial will follow in Deer Park Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate the life and legacy of Joseph Clyde Beach, Jr., a man whose spirit touched the hearts of many.
