Josephine Miley Chastang

Josephine M. Chastang, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away Sunday, February 07, 2022. She was 92 years old. Josephine was known for her love of family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was well loved and respected by everyone, and she had a kind, gentle soul. To know her was to love her, and she will be greatly missed.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, George N. Chastang; sons, Frank Bassett, Jr. and William Bassett; and her parents, Dillard and Hattie Miley.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Chris G. Chastang (Sonia), Betty B. Graham (Otto), and Linda B. Lee (Ronnie); six grandchildren, Monica Clark (Aubrey), Brian Lee (Amy), Brandon Weaver, Russ Lee (Alyssa), Steven Lee (Brooke), Blain Chastang, and Baylee Chastang; seven greatgrandchildren, Brendan, Andrew, Sean, Noah, Addy, Joseph, and Jessa; and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Lewis officiating.
