Joyce M. Graves, passed away on September 18, 2025 at the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and devotion. Born on February 6, 1945, Joyce approached life with a joyful spirit and a heart that was always open, creating cherished memories for all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Joyce was known for her unwavering commitment to family. She loved being around her family and friends, and her kitchen was often filled with the sounds of laughter and the smell of breakfast when cooking for her grandchildren, no matter the hour. Her generosity and warmth were evident as she made it a point to attend every significant event in the lives of those she loved, showcasing the devoted and loving nature she embodied.
Her proudest accomplishment in life was undoubtedly her family. Joyce is survived by her grandsons: B.J. Newburn, Evan Newburn, Chris Newburn, and Jason Newburn, along with nine great-grandchildren who will fondly remember their grandmother's loving presence. She is also mourned by her sister, Charolette West, as well as other relatives and numerous friends, all of whom were touched by her kindness and unwavering support.
Joyce’s life will be honored with a visitation on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service. Burial will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.
As we reflect on Joyce’s life, we are reminded of her radiant smile and the love she shared so freely. She will forever be missed but will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of being part of her extraordinary life.
