Karen Rainwaters

Karen Rainwaters, a resident of Fruitdale, Alabama, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017. She was 68 years old. Karen was born March 9, 1949, in West Virginia. She married her husband, Lamar Rainwaters, on February 10, 1968, and they were married for 49 years. Karen enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She was a selfless person and very giving. Karen also enjoyed car racing and was known as “Racetrack Mom.” She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Lamar Rainwaters; children, Tassie Dempsey and Jon Rainwaters; grandchildren, K’Leigh Rainwaters, Macie Ross, Kasey Rainwaters, and Brayden Ross; brother, Oran Hovatter; and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held for Karen at 6pm Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Four Points Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Kirkland officiating.
