Karen Lynn Rivers, born on July 20, 1959, passed away peacefully at her home on November 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was known for her friendly nature, often described as someone who never met a stranger. With a spirited and feisty personality, she was immensely loving and devoted to those around her.

Karen's life was marked by her dedication to her family. She cherished her husband of 23 years, Jimmy Rivers, with whom she shared a deep bond. Together, they created a home filled with love. Her daughter, Martina Rivers (Cain), along with her stepchildren Kayla Rivers-Powell (Alex), Tracey Rivers-Robinson (Darrell), Jimmy Quinn Rivers (Lynn), Randy Rivers (Yancey), and Katherine Thompson were a source of pride and joy in her life. Her grandchildren, Paisley and Amari, brought her immense happiness, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Karen was deeply connected to her siblings, including Rose Parnell (Rex), Kathy Olson (Joe), Paula Lemaire, Raymond Akins (Beverly), Clois Blackledge, and Paul Blackledge, as well as many other relatives and friends who held a special place in her heart.

Karen had a variety of hobbies and interests that brought her joy. She was an avid jewelry collector who enjoyed shopping and could often be found indulging in her favorite activities, including watching Court TV and the ID Channel. Her love for coffee and Coca-Cola was well-known, and she lovingly referred to herself as a dog mom to her cherished pet, Otis.

Karen’s legacy will live on through the love she shared and the memories created with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Marie Akins.

Visitation for Karen will be held on November 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service at the Charity Chapel Assembly of God Church with Bro. Mike Reid and Bro. Jr Long officiating. Burial will follow in Rivers Family Cemetery.

Throughout her life, Karen Lynn Rivers was a beacon of love and warmth, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
