Kenneth L McWain

November 14, 1952 — January 22, 2026

Satsuma, Alabama

Kenneth Lanier McWain, lovingly known as Kenny Mac, passed away on January 22, 2026, at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Alabama. He was 73 years old and surrounded by family.

Kenny was born on November 14, 1952, in Mobile, Alabama, to the late Leslie Judson McWain and Iva Gray (McNider) McWain. He grew up in Satsuma, Alabama, alongside his siblings. He attended the University of Mobile, where he earned a degree in accounting.

In 1981, Kenny married the love of his life, Geneva “Ann” McWain. Together they built a life rooted in love, laughter, hard work, and deep faith, raising three children who were the joy of their lives.

Kenny worked for CalGas before opening Quality Cleaners in Saraland in 1987. He owned and operated the business for decades, serving his community with dedication and a personal touch that made customers feel like friends. He retired in 2024 after a long and fulfilling career.

A lifelong resident of the Saraland and Satsuma areas, Kenny was a devoted member of Redemption Church. In his later years, he especially cherished the fellowship and friendship of his men’s Sunday School class, which became an important source of encouragement and connection.

Kenny loved the outdoors and found joy in hunting, golf, and tennis. He especially treasured time spent with friends and family—whether on the golf course, in the woods, on the water, or simply being with his grandchildren and great-nephews, who adored him. Known for his outgoing nature, quick humor, and endless curiosity, Kenny never met a stranger. He was famous for asking a dozen questions and then moving on before hearing the answers, and he rarely went anywhere without running into someone he knew—or turning strangers into fast friends.

Kenny is survived by his children, Judson (Kristy) McWain, Ashley (Michael) Munday, and Leslie Ann (Reid) Jones; his grandchildren, Briggs Howard McWain and Landry Reese McWain; and his sister, Lori Denise McWain (Terry Armstrong). He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann; his parents, and his brothers, Philip Randal McWain and Gary Judson McWain. He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Redemption Church, 1251 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, Alabama. A celebration of life will take place at the church the following morning, Wednesday, January 28, at 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Smith Family Cemetery, 10163 Kali Oka Road, Eight Mile, Alabama.

In remembrance of Kenny’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Redemption Church.

Kenny fought bravely against cancer for eleven months. Though his passing came after a sudden and unexpected decline that left his loved ones heartbroken, they take comfort in knowing he is fully at peace—restored, whole, and reunited in heaven with God and with Ann.
