Linnie Jeannette Etheredge

Linnie Jeannette Etheredge, a resident of Calvert, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. She was 77 years old. Jeannette was born October 18, 1943, in Louisville, Mississippi to the late William Luther, Sr. and Martha Ann Wright. Jeannette was a longtime member of Malcolm Baptist Church where she kept the financial records for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Weldon Etheredge, Sr.; daughter, Trina Etheredge Stearns; sister, Memrie Cooper; brother, William “Billy” Wright; and brother-in-law, Alton Patrick.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, James David Etheredge (Scott Milstid), Diana Etheredge Turner (Ronny), Michael Etheredge (Rachael), and Weldon Etheredge (Karen “Missy”); grandchildren, Dustin Taylor (Sarah), Hailey Cooley (Scott), Morgan Etheredge, Emily Stearns, Gracie Etheredge, MaryKate Howard, Molly Etheredge, Jacob Etheredge, and Aaron Stearns; great-grandchildren, Joseph “Roc” Cooley, Adalind Taylor, Abbie Cooley, Jaxon Stearns, and Sophie Stearns; siblings, Nora Patrick, Betty Jo Daugherty (Jimmy), Donna Wright Webb (Andy), Robert “Bobby” Wright (Sharee), and Doug Wright; brother-in-law, Toney Bob Cooper; and other relative and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11am until the 12pm funeral service, Friday, February 19, 2021, at Malcolm Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Presnall officiating. Burial will follow in Malcolm Cemetery.

Due to the limited capacity of the church and social distancing guidelines, the family requests that anyone showing signs or symptoms of COVID-19 refrain from attending services. The family also requests that masks be worn throughout the visitation and service.
