Lisa Hoeck Motes, beloved wife mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2023. She was born on September 21, 1966, to Lester M. Hoeck I and Vickie W. Hoeck. Lisa was a kind-hearted and loving woman who touched the lives of everyone she met.

Lisa's warm and welcoming personality made her a joy to be around. Her cheerful demeanor and infectious smile brightened the lives of those around her. She had a great sense of humor that could light up any room, bringing laughter and happiness to those in her presence. Lisa's compassionate nature was evident in her interactions with others.

Throughout her life, Lisa found immense joy in spending time with her family and grandchildren. They were her world, and she cherished every moment she spent with them. The bonds she formed with each family member were strong and unbreakable. Lisa's love for her husband Barry Lynn Motes Sr., was unwavering. Together they shared a deep connection built on love, trust, and mutual respect.

As a devoted mother, Lisa raised two wonderful sons: Nickoles Motes (Alexis) and Jacob Motes (Michelle). She instilled in them the values of love, kindness, and hard work that have guided them throughout their lives. Lisa took great pride in watching her sons grow into compassionate individuals who carry forward her legacy of positivity and generosity.

Lisa also had a close relationship with her brothers Terry Hoeck (Bobbie) and Lester Hoeck II (Veronica). Their bond was unbreakable, providing support and comfort to one another throughout the years. She also had two god children that meant the world to her, Supria Richardson and Cheyenne Roberts. Lisa brought joy into the lives of her two nieces and six nephews as well; they adored their aunt deeply.

Her role as grandmother brought immense happiness to Lisa's life. She cherished her five grandchildren, Booger Butt, Sweet Tea, Rissa Roo, Nugget, and Guppy. She was always there to support them, cheer them on, and offer guidance. Lisa's love and wisdom will forever be imprinted on their hearts.

In addition to her immediate family, Lisa had a wide circle of friends, whose lives she touched with her kind and compassionate nature. She had many relatives and friends who will deeply miss her warm presence and the love she brought into their lives.

As an assistant manager at Family Dollar, Lisa dedicated herself to her career and the community she served. She approached her work with the same kindness and compassion that she showed in every aspect of her life. Her commitment to helping others made a lasting impact on those around her.

Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Lester M. Hoeck I; mother, Vickie W. Hoeck; and mother-in-law, Virginia L. Motes. While she may no longer be with us physically, her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Lisa Hoeck Motes will forever be remembered for her loving nature and ability to bring joy into the lives of those around her. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire others for years to come. She leaves behind a beautiful testament to a life lived fully and with love.
