Lloyd E. Johnston, Jr.

Lloyd E. Johnston, Jr., a man with a big, generous heart and the best sense of humor, passed away on August 24, 2023. He was born on November 19, 1961, and his departure has left a void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

Lloyd's life will be celebrated with a Funeral Service at Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle, Alabama on August 26, 2023. The service will begin at 10:00 AM, providing an opportunity for family and friends to honor his memory. 

Lloyd had an infectious laughter that could brighten any room. His jokes were legendary and always brought smiles to the faces of those around him. It was as if he had an endless supply of joy to share with others. Lloyd's humor provided solace during difficult times and reminded us all not to take life too seriously.

Aside from his incredible sense of humor, Lloyd demonstrated his love for fast cars throughout his life. Whether it was watching races or working on his own vehicles, he found joy in the speed and adrenaline that came with being behind the wheel. His passion for fast cars will forever be remembered by those who witnessed his excitement on race day.

Perhaps Lloyd's proudest accomplishments were his children and grandchildren. Nothing brought him more joy than seeing them succeed and sharing in their achievements. His unwavering support and unconditional love encouraged them to chase their dreams relentlessly. Allison and Sherman Johnston, his beloved children; Isabella and Alexander Lee, adored grandchildren; along with Bonnie Chapman, John Johnston, June Bue; many other family members, and friends now carry forward Lloyd's legacy of love.

Lloyd cherished the memories he shared with his parents, Lloyd Johnston Sr., Callie Belle Weaver; as well as his brother Gregory Johnston. Their presence in his life shaped him into the remarkable person he became.

As we bid farewell to Lloyd E. Johnston, Jr., let us remember the joy he brought into our lives. His kind heart, infectious laughter, and love for his family will always remain etched in our memories. While we grieve his loss, let us be grateful for the time we had with him and carry forward the lessons he taught us about living life to the fullest.
