Lynda Reed, born on December 10, 1948, left this world peacefully on August 12, 2026, at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. Her passing marks the close of a treasured chapter in the lives of all who had the privilege to know and love her.

Lynda will be deeply missed by her devoted family. She is survived by son, Brad Reed; siblings, Joyce Jordan (Willie), Thelma Rivers, Velma Byrd, Lamaze Weaver, Vera Tarver, Brannon Weaver, Fleet Weaver (Bernetta), Hal Randall Weaver (Robin), and Herk Weaver; a multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fleet and Doris Weaver, and her brother, Mickey Weaver.

Throughout her life, Lynda was surrounded by family and friends who brought her joy, comfort, and companionship. She was known for her warmth, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones. Those who knew her remember her kindness, strength, and the meaningful connections she fostered.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mrs. Denise Carpenter and the entire nursing staff at Washington County Hospital and Nursing Home for their excellent care, compassion, and support.

Services to honor and remember Lynda Reed’s life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., both at the Calvert Church of the Nazarene with Bro. Tim Sullivan and Bro. Nick Williams officiating. Lynda will be laid to rest in Saint Thomas Cemetery.

As her family, friends, and community gather to celebrate Lynda’s life and legacy, they do so with profound gratitude for the memories shared and the love she so generously gave. Her presence will remain forever cherished in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
