Maeola Allen, born on March 25, 1952, peacefully passed away on February 1, 2026. Maeola was a cherished member of her community, known for her warm spirit and deep appreciation for the simple things in life. She lived her days surrounded by family, friends, and many interests that brought her joy.
Maeola took great pride in her family, and her proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by her loving children, Amanda Ann Allen, Tommy Allen (Amanda), Dana Reitzammer (Brandon), and Daniel Allen (Casey). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Remington, Ty, Summer, Ayla, Bailey, Timothy, Brysen, Mason, Tyson, Taylor, Kennedi, Kydon, Lane, Lexi, and Landri, as well as her great-grandchildren, Jabari and Layla. Maeola also leaves behind her beloved siblings, Hazel Weaver (Glen), Shirley Farmer, Diane McDaniels (Daniel), Ensley Farmer (Jamie), and Wallace Rivers (Lynn). She is also survived by a multitude of nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.
Maeola was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Allen, whose love she held dear throughout her life. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Stella Farmer, and siblings, Michael Rivers, George Farmer, Betty Byrd, Lilly Belle Sullivan, and Judy Weaver.
Her interests were as vibrant as her personality; Maeola loved attending drag races, going fishing, drinking coffee, watching television, and enjoying fellowship with her family and friends. These activities were not just hobbies for her; they were moments that she cherished and shared with those she loved.
A visitation will take place on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service at Cedar Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Bruce Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Byrd Cemetery.
Maeola Allen leaves a lasting impression on all who knew her, and her spirit will continue to inspire her family and friends for years to come.
