Majorie Nell Griffith

Marjorie Nell Sharp Griffith, formerly of Saraland, Alabama, departed this life on December 9, 2020, in Atmore, Alabama. She was born on August 13, 1938, to Bob and Violet Sharp. Mrs. Griffith worked as an office clerk for a day care for several years and assisted her husband as a pastor’s wife for over 40 years. She is preceded in death by a son, Tracy Alan Griffith, and husband of 62 years, Charles Edgar Griffith. She is survived by a granddaughter, Elizabeth Page Griffith-Lancaster Gibson and her husband, Cody, of Daphne, Alabama; a great-grandson, Van Walter Gibson, of Daphne, Alabama; sister, Bobbi Sharp Taber, and her husband, Bruce, of Franklinton, Louisiana; daughter-in-law, Mary Beth Brantley Griffith Lancaster, and her husband, Steve, of Atmore Alabama; granddaughters Bailey Colleen Lancaster and Mary Thompson Lancaster of Atmore, Alabama; special friends, Steve and Joan Platt; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Mrs. Griffith’s family extends a special thank you to the caring staff of The Meadows Assisted Living, Atmore Nursing Center, and Comfort Care Hospice. The graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Friday, December 18, 2020, at Plainview Baptist Cemetery in Bogalusa, Louisiana. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory be made to the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home. Online condolences may be given at Freeman Funeral Home – Citronelle, Alabama
