Marie Orso

Marie S. Orso, 86, a native and resident of McIntosh, Alabama passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 27, 2016. She was retired as a cook with the Washington County Public School System and was a faithful member of Happy Gospel Field Holiness Church. Mrs. Orso loved attending church and praising the Lord. In her spare time, she enjoyed flower gardening, shopping and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe C. Orso; two grandchildren, Patricia M. Orso and Larry Curtis Logan; siblings, Zeola Chestang, Grady Reed, Hazel Johnston and Lawrence “Boo Boo” Sullivan. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Brenda Payne, Brenetta Orso, Burnedette Orso Logan, Bernita Beck (Lamar), Barry Orso (Zelda), Blanche Orso and Brent Orso (Jennifer); eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; other relative and friends. The Wake will be from 6-9pm Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Freeman Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 2pm Monday, January 30, 2017 at Happy Gospel Field Holiness Church with Rev.
