Marilyn Louise (Byrd) Gardner

March 30, 1953 — September 16, 2021

Marilyn Louise Byrd Gardner, a longtime resident of the Fellowship Community, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021, peacefully at her home in Elberta, Alabama, surrounded by her loving family. She was 68 years old. Marilyn enjoyed tending to and caring for her flower garden, but she mostly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Gardner; grandson, Cameron; parents, Ollie and Hazel Byrd; and siblings, Marvin Byrd, Eunice Sheffield, Mary Martin, Margaret Byrd, Annette Malone, and James Byrd. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Kim Maddox, Shannon Turner (Tim), Tonya Andrews (Aric), and Chris Gardner; grandchildren, Alexander, Hunter, Noah, Kaitlyn, Elisabeth, and Caylee; great-grandchildren, Layton, Haydyn, and Ryan Luke; brother, Vernon Byrd; special nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Fellowship Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery.
